There are several "tips" which can be used to view the "For the Life of the World" publication as it was intended.

1 - Be sure to have the "view images" or "show pictures" option turned on. This webpage is very small and even slow modems should load it fairly quickly.

2 - This webpage was designed to accommodate 640 x 480 screen dimensions and is best viewed with higher-version browsers. Please adjust your browser window by using the mouse to drag a corner or side of the window to "fit" the widthbar on the titlepage (as illustrated below). For additional assistance, refer to your operating system's online help.

3 - "Hiding" your browsers toolbars is suggested to enhance the "book feel" of this page. To do this, simply go into your browser's "view" menu (shown below) and "hide" the various toolbars your browser may have. Once finished with this webpage, go back to the "view" menu and select the "toolbar" options to bring them back.

4 - Another suggestion is to go into your "options" submenu (in Explorer's "view" menu) or "preferences" submenu (in Netscape's "edit" menu) and turn off the "underline links" option.

5 - To navigate through the publication, use the navigation bar at the bottom of each page. Scroll to the bottom of any of the pages and click on "Next Page" to go forward; "Previous Page" to go back; and "Footnotes" to go to the chapter's footnotes. At any time you can click on the book icon to return to the table of contents.

6 - Footnotes for the publication are hyperlinked to the main pages through a RED subscript number (eg: 8). To get to the footnote, please click on the number. To return to the publication, click anywhere on the footnote you last read.

7 - To see the credits for the images, hold your mouse over the selected image for 2 seconds and a title box will appear and identify the photo, as shown below. (Note: this only works for newer versions of Explorer and Navigator.)
