Site Evaluation Tables Text Image

The following list of evaluated sites shows how the system outlined in this project is intended to work. Numerous types of sites were chosen for evaluation in order to show how this system works. In order to have an accurate relative rating, all sites, including previously interpreted sites and historical sites, need to be included in the database. It is interesting to note that, from a tourism point of view, highly successful interpreted geological sites are not necessarily very significant geologically.

The table below shows all the scores of three Alberta landslides - the historic and geologically significant Frank Slide, the Jonas Slide on the Columbia Icefields Highway, and the Koroluk mudslide found along the Battle River.

This table summarizes the scores for a number of sites. Sites are grouped according to where they fit into the proposed thematic classification scheme.
