The Royal Alberta Museum (the “Museum”) welcomes and encourages the use of, and physical access to, its collection for scientific analysis, research, teaching, publication, exhibition, artistic activities, cultural activities, replication of Indigenous techniques, etc. Access to the Museum’s collection must be viewed as a privilege not as a right.

Please provide the following information to allow Museum staff to determine if they can accommodate this access request. Do not use this form for group tours, class tours, educational programs, etc.

Object/Specimen Accession Number or description

In the space below, please provide accession numbers (if known) and/or a description of the collection(s) to which you are requesting physical access at RAM or through a loan. Whenever possible, try to be specific in what you are requesting. Given the size and volume of the Museum’s collection, requests that are very broad in scope, poorly defined, or vague may not be accommodated. (Examples: I would like to see the archaeology collection; I am looking for a loan of objects you have from the 1920s; etc.)

Publication/Collection file description

In the space below, please provide the publication title, subject, etc., collection accession number, donor, etc.
